Do you need a refresher of, or an introduction to, the deaths and financial corruption surrounding Alex Murdaugh?

Alex Murdaugh is part of the generational legal dynasty in coastal South Carolina who is on trail for murdering his wife Maggie and their son Paul. Beside being accused of killing his wife and son, he also faces accusations of stealing millions of dollars from his own clients and his former family law firm. And let’s not forget the other deaths suspiciously related to the Murdaugh family.

Monday begins the third week of his murder trial. It’s called the “Trial of the Decade.”

Below are some recommended documentaries about Alex Murdaugh and their family dynasty.

The five deaths and a mysterious shooting surrounding Alex Murdaugh

Stephen Smith killed July 2016
Gloria Satterfield - the long time nanny and housekeeper died Feb. 2018
Mallory Beach killed in a boat crash on Feb. 2019
Maggie and Paul killed June 2021
Cousin Eddie

Alex confessed to hiring Cousin Eddie to shoot him, a failed attempt to get a life insurance payout for his surviving son Buster.

After Maggie & Paul were murdered, the death investigations for Stephen & Gloria were reopened and are pending.

Alex is charged with nearly 100 counts in relation to allegedly stealing $6M in clients settlements from 2015 – 2020, tax evasion, money laundering, insurance fraud, stealing from his law firm and many others that occurred prior to the murder indictment. The financial trials will happen at a later date.

I love watching high profile trials like OJ Simpson, Lacy Peterson, Elizabeth Homes, Depp & Heard and so many others over the years.

I’m watching this murder trial live with Emily D. Baker on YouTube. Despite her salty language, she gives informative commentary during the trial. Or you can watch live on YouTube via Law and Crime Network without the commentary. There are so many other legal shows and podcasts covering the case. Some give nightly coverage of the day’s testimony so you can receive the highlight moments.

Enjoy the Binge-Watching.
